Meeting regarding dwell time on border crossing Tovarnik (HŽI) – Šid (IŽS)

Within the scope of AWB RFC project “Reducing the dwell time on border crossings Tovarnik (HŽI) – Šid (IŽS) and Dimitrovgrad (IŽS) – Dragoman (Kalotina Zapad) (NRIC), the meeting with representatives of IŽS, HŽI and railway undertakings that operate on border crossing Tovarnik – Šid, was held on 9th October 2025 in railway station Vinkovci (Croatia). The meeting was joined by Mr. Marian Jean Marinescu, European Coordinator for Western Balkans – Eastern Mediterranean European Transport Corridor and his advisor, Mr. Arunas Jurevicius. The analysis of the results of collected data concerning dwell time of international freight trains on this border crossing was presented to the participants, followed by an intensive discussion. Certain measures for the improvement were proposed and adopted. After finalizing the minutes from this meeting and improvement measurers, it will be delivered to infrastructure managers (IŽS and HŽI), as a next step.
