KARAVANKE RAILWAY TUNNEL IS CLOSED UNTIL 10.7.2021

The Karavanke railway tunnel is completley closed from 5. October 2020 until 10. July 2021 due to construction works and modernization of the line.

It means that rail traffic between Slovenia and Austria on the line Ljubljana – Jesenice – Rosenbach – Villach is not possible.

At this time all rail freight transport between Slovenia and Austria runs along the route Zidani most – Maribor – Graz.
